Light Belgian Wheat

As I’m not generally a fan of light colored or light calorie beer, I don’t often make them. Occasionally though, Holly will request one and so I aim to please. We compromised though. This is not a light colored beer. It is medium colored, light to medium bodied and low calorie, containing only about 95 calories per 12 glass. This makes for a tasty beer that is just in time for the summer. It is only 22 IBU, but with such a low grain bill, it is more bitter than sweet. Which is perfect for what it is. If it was too sweet, it would feel heavier and less refreshing. Overall,  a tasty beer. Of the beers using the Belgian yeast (including the upcoming beer), this is the most successful.
