While cleaning up the kitchen this past weekend, Holly pulled a bundle of sealed plastic baggies out of the back of the baking cupboard. “Oh! By the way, I saved these for you”, she says. I opened the bundle and practically cried. It was a bag full of whole vanilla beans leftover from the honey vanilla doppelbock I made in Hana.
I knew right away what I would use them for. My mind immediately started formulating a recipe for my next brew; coming up next is a coconut-coffee-vanilla imperial stout. I’m so in the mood for this. Stay tuned.
